Prerequisites
- Working knowledge of fundamental terms and concepts of computer networking, including LANs, WANs, switching and routing
- Ability to configure and operate Cisco routers and switches and to enable VLANs and DHCP
- Basics of digital interfaces, PSTN, and VoIP
- Fundamental knowledge of converged voice and data networks
- Equivalent knowledge to the CIPT1 & 2 courses or a good understanding of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) administration
- Good understanding of CUCM administration including initial setup
- Experience deploying endpoints and users
- Familiar with dial plans

- Configure Call Coverage including new “Call Queuing’ capabilities.
- Describe how to configure CUBE.
- Describe the types of media resources that Cisco UC Manger supports.
- Describe how to configure Cisco UC Manager server software-based media resources.
- Implement Cisco hardware-based media resources.
- Implement a URI-based dial plan for multi-site deployments
- Implement bandwidth management and the new “Enhanced Call Admission Control (CAC)” to prevent over-subscription of the IP WAN
- Understand Cisco’s video infrastructure
- Deploy TelePresence Management Suite (TMS)
- Integrate Cisco VCS and Cisco TMS into a Cisco collaboration deployment
- Understand Cisco VCS Control and Cisco Expressway Series and Unified Communications (UC) Mobile and Remote Access
- Deploying Cisco Collaboration Systems Applications with Cisco Prime Collaboration
